By 2020, the U.S. will face a shortage of 1.5 million workers needed with college degrees but will have a surplus of 6 million unemployed men and women because they didn’t graduate from high school and they don’t have the necessary foundation for emotional development.

WHO WE ARE
Together Assisting People (TAP) is a 501c3 that was founded by former University of Alabama 2009 National Champion, Chris Rogers. The TAP mentoring program provides opportunities for promising inner-city students that lack financial resources. Participants commit to a year-long schedule that includes activities such as after school tutoring and professional development, university and corporate site visits, and weekend community service events. Applicants must have a minimum 2.0GPA in order to be considered, but if accepted must maintain a minimum 2.5GPA. The application process includes an electronic application and phone/in-person interviews.
